Klaus Segbers
has been working as a professor of Political Science for International and East European politics at Freie Universität Berlin since 1996. He is the director of the distance learning programs in Global Politics, such as IR-Online, the M.A. program in International Relations, Dubai and EES-Online, an e-learning based M.A. program in East European studies. He has recently completed a project on "Explaining post-Soviet Patchworks" (published in 3 vls. 2001 at Ashgate) and on "City regions as changing sites of government" (2 vls., Johns Hopkins Press and Ashgate). His research interests include global politics, institutional changes in Eastern Europe, Germany's external relations, and city regions. In addition, he advises the German government and others on foreign policy questions.
